No. 37: From Italy, with Love

Recently, our friends over at GSG, sent me a small care package carefully enshrouded in bubble wrap. Apart from being great internet friends (20 years ago, who woulda thunk it?), they're fellow bicycle fanatics, and former graf writers. There's much we have in common, though separated by continents, oceans, and language. Inside was chocked with all sorts of typographical goodies:

A sick ass RIS sticker tag on a USPS Priority label,

And finally, the real meat of the package, in all its glorious NOS glory:

Be sure to check out their blog, Gruppo Sportivo Guccilife,

King of Kalihi, KVIBE

Video by Mike Orbito

Words cannot describe how I feel about the kids of Kalihi — to be included as part of their ohana, and to feel some kind of validation that being a human being for 35 years on this Earth is enough to contribute to the future — simply by giving part of myself. And even though I am leaving as Program Coordinator, the kids have given me something that I will cherish forever: the hope that there is hope. I would like to thank Mike Orbito for this amazing video that will stand as a testament to the kids of Kalihi — forever.
